Fort Macleod Agencies dates back to the 1930's when Peter McTavish first opened its doors. It remained a family business until 1982, when Trevor Norlin purchased the company.
In the mid-1990's, Trevor's son Scott and Karen Robson became part of the ownership team. In 2002, Scott became the majority shareholder. In 2003, we purchased Chilton Insurance and merged two companies into one, enabling us to offer expanded service to our valued customers.
Fort Macleod Agencies had been located in the same building since the 1930's. Our growing business required more space, so we moved to our current location in 1989. As our customers needed more from us, our business continued to grow. To accommodate this, we completed major renovations to our offices in 2006, allowing us more space to meet the needs of our clients.
Our hardworking team has grown to 11 and we are able to provide ALL classes of General Insurance, representing the top two largest companies in Alberta. We've also become an accredited service agent for Service Alberta, which means we can provide all Alberta Registries services as well as Level 1 corporate Registries.
The insurers with whom we are contracted are all provincially or federally licenced.Their claims adjustment and payment performance are the subject of regular in-office surveillance by the company management team.
